NTPC sanitizes Kokrajhar Press Club in view of COVID-19 outbreak

KOKRAJHAR: In the wake of COVID-19, sanitization was carried out by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Bongaigaon at Kokrajhar Press Club on Saturday.

Face masks and face shields were also distributed to members of Kokrajhar Press Club. Anil Chawla, assistant general manager, and Human Resources and Public Relations Officer Priyanka Bhuyan handed over the masks to members of Kokrajhar Press Club.

Sanitization was also carried out at the Social Welfare office, Child Welfare Committee office and Sainik Board Kokrajhar office. Chawla said the NTPC Bongaigaon had taken small efforts for community welfare during the COVID- 19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Preetam Brahma Choudhury, president of Kokrajhar Press Club, said, "The Kokrajhar Press Club requested NTPC Salakati to provide masks and sanitizers for the media persons of Kokrajhar as they were doing daily news coverage in different places. NTPC accepted our proposal and today the surroundings of the Kokrajhar Press Club were sanitized and media persons were given masks and sanitizers.
