Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) awarded best Governed Company, 2020

GUWAHATI: Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. was honoured with the National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance as a Best Governed Company (Unlisted Large) by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), the premier national professional body set up under an Act of Parliament. The Institute also awarded H K Sarmah, Company Secretary, NRL with the Governance Professional of the year, 2020.

The award comprising of a citation and trophy was presented to NRL team headed by MD S K Barua on January 13 by Ashish Garg, President, The ICSI joined over virtually by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Railways, Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution, Government of India, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group and members of The ICSI. The ICSI National Award in Corporate Governance recognises the best practices in corporate governance and promotes the culture of good governance and social responsibility in the corporate sector, stated a press release.
