Obituary Bimal Thapa

Bimal Thapa, a resident of Gorbil village under Muradol GP here and a known social worker, breathed his last at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Saturday morning. He was 90.

He was closely associated with many socio-cultural organizations of the greater Muradol area. He was former president of Uttar Jamuguri Kendriya Hari Kirtan Samiti, Garbil LP school management committee and an active member of the BJP Naduar Committee. His demise was widely mourned here. Individuals, including Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika, and organizations like Naduar BJP Mandal Committee among others condoled the demise of Thapa. He leaves behind his wife, three sons along with a host of relatives.
