Dr. Dilip Kr. Baruah, one of the renowned personalities of Namrup and Naharkatia region, passed away on August 7 following illness. He was the senior doctor in Namrup-Nigam MPHC and also worked and retired from Naharkatia Community Health Centre as Deputy Superintendent.
Besides, he was the former President of Namrup College Governing Body, former advisor of Namrup Sahitya Sabha and was also associated with several socio-cultural organizations. Dr. Baruah dedicated his whole life for the well-being of the masses and had served people from decades through medical science. The people of Namrup and Naharkatia deeply condoled his demise.
