Obituary: Kamal Baruah

Kamal Baruah, a serving teacher and resident of Tangla town in Udalguri district, breathed his last at a private hospital in Guwahati after brief illness on April 8. He was 44. He was serving as assistant teacher in Garuajhar ME School in Udalguri and was suffering from pneumonia-related ailments and was admitted on April 3. His demise has cast a pall of gloom in the entire locality with a good number of his well-wishers joining his funeral ceremony.

He was also associated with a number of social and religious organizations of the district since long. Various organizations and institutions, including Udalguri (west) chapter of All Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union (AKRSU), Tangla Press Club among others, have condoled his untimely demise. He leaves behind his parents, wife, a son and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
