Obituary: Krishna Bhuyan

Playwright, director, actor, Krishna Bhuyan, a resident of Kalyan Pur, Biswanath Chariali, passed away on Thursday night after a cardiac arrest at a private hospital, here. He was 67 years old at the time of his death. At the time of his death, he left behind a son and a daughter. Born at Chatia, Krishna Bhuyan was associated with drama from an early age. Apart from writing many plays, he was able to occupy a special place in the drama world of Assam by directing plays.

He retired from service as Head Assistant in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath district. After retirement, he got involved in many institutions of Biswanath Chariali and Chatia.
