Obituary: Social worker of Sootea Padmeswar Saikia

Padmeswar Saikia (68), retired police officer and a social worker of Sootea area, breathed his last on February 8 due to cardiac arrest at his Solalgaon residence. He was closely associated with many socio-cultural organizations of the greater Sootea area, including Biswanath district senior citizens' forum. His untimely demise was widely mourned at Sootea. He leaves behind his wife, two sons along with a host of relatives.
