Social worker and noted businessmen of Tangla town, Saifuddin Hussain, an inhabitant of Banseria locality of Tangla town, left for his heavenly sojourn after prolonged illness at his residence on August 11. He was 67.

Born to Sarif Ali and Jamila Khatun, he was the second son among his six siblings. He was a popular face among the business fraternity of the town. His janaza was performed at Banseria Kabarastan. He leaves behind three sons, three daughters along with a host of relatives and well wishers. His death was widely mourned by a number of organizations and institutions, including Tangla Media Circle, North Assam Contractors' Association. Former Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State executive member Santiuse Kujur has also expressed condolence to the bereaved family members.
