HAILAKANDI: The district administration has appealed all the officers, staff of various departments, teaching and non teaching staffs of educational institutions and other personnel engaged in election duty to get themselves COVID-19 tested from April 10 to 12. In an order issued here to this effect on Friday, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Health cum In charge of Personnel Cell, Narendra Kumar Shah has urged the officials and staff engaged in election duty to get themselves tested for COVID-19 free of cost in any nearby hospitals, health institutions, health camps or COVID test camps voluntarily from April 10 to 12.

Appreciating the invaluable services rendered by the officers and staff of various departments, teachers of different colleges and schools and other personnel for smooth conduct of the Assembly polls on April 1, Shah instructed the heads of Central and State Government Offices, principals of schools and colleges, banks and other establishments to ensure compliance of the order scrupulously by their respective officials and employees.

Meanwhile, no fresh positive case of COVID-19 has been reported during the past 48 hours. Currently there are two active cases in the district. On Friday a total of 519 samples were tested and no positive case was detected.
