Officials assess eroded embankment in Chirang district

KOKRAJHAR: An integrated field visit was conducted by Circle Officer, Bengtol, Pulak Biswas, Rakesh Brahma, Executive Engineer, Water Resources department and officials from Sidli Development Block at the eroded site of Aie River embankment at Madarpur village to inspect and assess the severity of the damage as per order given by the Chirang Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar Shah on Wednesday. A stretch of about 400 metres of Aie River embankment in village Madarpur under Bengtol Revenue Circle was eroded due to the incessant rain on Tuesday.
