Dibrugarh: Fire Service, OIL, Duliajan has stepped-up its capability of fire fighting with introduction of state-of-the-art technology – three Water Mist Fire Bikes- which was inaugurated by Resident Chief Executive (RCE), OIL, Duliajan, Pranjit Deka in the presence of senior officials of the company recently.
The inauguration ceremony was organized by Fire Service, OIL at its recently developed Fire Fighting Training Ground with the demonstration of various unique features of fire bikes. These were driven by the employees of Fire Service during the demonstration wherein they showed the fire fighting efficiency of these bikes by dousing oil pit fire.
It is the first time in the Northeast that OIL Fire Service has procured such fire bikes with an aim to access fire incidents in remote and narrow operational areas/locations where big fire tenders face difficulty to approach promptly. These fire bikes will not only serve the operational areas of OIL but also serve the residents who live nearby in the narrow streets and lanes where fire tenders are unable to reach.
These fire bikes have been commissioned with latest water mist technology to fight small/medium fire incidents that might occur in the operational areas of OIL, including public area, in bare minimum time.
