DIBRUGARH: Taking forward the ongoing celebration of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' on completing 75 years of freedom of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements, Oil India Limited felicitated two students of Mrinaljyoti Rehabilitation Centre, Duliajan for their outstanding academic achievements.

Prasanta Borkakoty, RCE OIL, met both the students at their residences to felicitate them with a letter of appreciation. They are Niharika Phukan and Parshurjya Pran Goswami, students of the centre who passed the Class XII examination and secured first division during the 2020-21 academic session.

Niharika Phukan, a person with multiple disabilities, is one of the first few students of Mrinaljyoti Rehabilitation Centre with such excellent results. She aims to have a career with home science as Major and also has a keen interest in fashion designing. Prachurjya Pran Goswami is a student with cerebral palsy. His aim is to pursue education with a History major and wants to appear for UPSC examinations in the future.

Trideeb Saikia, General Manager (Public Affairs) OIL, and Nayana Madhu Dutta, Senior Manager (CSR), OIL, were also present during the felicitation ceremony. Besides promotion of education, Oil India Limited has been supporting Mrinaljyoti Rehabilitation Centre since inception as an institution through various need-based interventions from time to time.
