Dibrugarh: Oil India Limited (OIL) has been observing Vigilance Awareness Week 2019 from October 28 to November 2 at its Field Headquarter, Duliajan with the theme ‘Integrity a way of life’.
A week-long campaign was inaugurated by Pranjit Deka, Resident Chief Executive of OIL, on October 29 with the mission to inculcate honesty and integrity in every aspect of business and personal dealings. Deka in his address emphasized the importance of Vigilance Awareness Week to generate awareness among the public at large about the ill effects of corruption and urged everyone to overcome the same.
As a part of the occasion, pledge of integrity was taken by all employees of OIL. A cycle rally was also flagged off on the occasion to create awareness amongst the people against corruption and promoting integrity in every aspect of life.
To involve a large section of society and stakeholders, OIL also organized various events such as drawing and debate competition amongst the students across various schools and colleges in Duliajan, Moran and Digboi, including Gram Sabhas at Madhuting and Ushapur.
To mark the occasion, a seminar was also organized with former Commissioner, Home and Personnel Department, Government of Assam, Dhirendra Nath Saikia as chief guest. OIL has also undertaken wide awareness campaign amongst the people by distribution of pamphlets and display of banners in and around Duliajan.
