Oil tanker seized by Golaghat Police for using fake challan

GOLAGHAT: Golaghat Police on Thursday seized an oil tanker at Tetelotal of Golaghat district under Golaghat police station for carrying liquid bituminous using fraud challan. As per reports, an oil tanker bearing registration number AS 01 BC 6661 was carrying bituminous like materials against a challan issued for carrying petrol. The oil tanker carried the materials from Rangia to Jamuguri of Golaghat district by using the fake challan. Notably, this oil tanker was permitted to transport oil from Numaligarh Refinery to Meghalaya but it was used for carrying bituminous-like materials for road construction.
