GUWAHATI: Olympic women boxing bronze medal winner Lovlina Borgohain has been gifted a luxury vehicle (Renault-Kiger) by a company.

The pugilist received the vehicle in Guwahati in a ceremony early today.

On being asked how she felt about receiving the vehicle and her Olympic dream, Lovlina said, "Yes, my dream and my nation's dream are important for me. I will have to work very hard to fulfill this dream. This is my first car and I am happy about it."

Lovlina informed that she had no other plans and had come to Guwahati to just receive the vehicle. "I have no other program here and I will now go home in the new car," said the young boxer joyfully.

The reporters asked whether she knew how to drive and whether she was going to drive the new vehicle.

"Papa will drive the car home. Yes, I do know how to drive but don't have much confidence as I don't get much time for driving. I would love to take my parents around in my new car," expressed Lovlina.

Lovlina now has the AIBA Women World Boxing Championship in 2021 followed by the Common Wealth Games at Burmingham and Asian Games, China in 2022.
