GAURISAGAR:  On the occasion of the 62nd Teachers’ Day, a book titled Pragyapujya, written by Prasanta Kumar Neog, noted story writer, former scribe and retired Subject Teacher of Bakata Nemuguri HS School, was unveiled at a function held at No 384 Mitong Nakatani LP School, Gaurisagar.

The function was chaired by Nripen Hazarika, former vice principal, Gaurisagar HS Industrial Institute. The book was formally inaugurated by Dr Soneswar Borah, former Headmaster, Santipur High School. Addressing the gathering, he lauded the effort of the writer, Prasanta Kumar Neog for highlighting about 12 veteran educationists, especially about their life and contributions towards building the society.

Earlier, writer Prasanta Kumar Neog gave his welcome speech while Ranjit Borah, publisher of the book, anchored the programme. In the function, Dilip Kumar Neog, Rikheswar Gogoi, both retired principals of Gaurisagar HS Industrial Institute, noted litterateur Jibon Krishna Goswami, journalist Padma Luchan Khanikor, social worker Tapan Kumar Nath and others were present.
