One-act play competition at Biswanath Chariali

BISWANATH CHARIALI: The 59th edition of All Assam Surya Borah memorial one-act play competition will be held on January 23 and January 24 with a two-day long programme at Kamalakanta Natya Samaj Auditorium, Biswanath Chariali.

A strong reception committee was already formed in this regard with Dilip Kumar Baruah as president, Gautam Borah as general secretary and Manish Kalita as office secretary. The main programmes of the competition include flag hoisting, felicitation of veteran artistes, including drama personalities Haren Bhagawati, Jagat Saikia and posthomously Bimal Borah, Deepak Borah and Shishir Saikia (all three) and the main competition. Around 15 play groups from different parts of the State are likely to participate in the competition.
