One dead, 3 injured in road mishap at Barpeta district

BARPETA: A 7-year old girl named Nargis Parbin of Tamulpur died and three others were injured here at Barpeta Road near BH College, Barpeta district.

The injured were identified as Muklesh Mallik, Hajera Khatun and Majjen Mallik of Howly. They had come to Howly from Tamulpur to their relative's house for a marriage party and on Thursday morning they went to the railway station but could not catch the train.

They returned back to Howly and on their way, they were hit by a tractor. The girl died on the spot. Muklesh Mallik was seriously injured and sent to GMCH. The other two were admitted in Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH).
