One dies of COVID at Assam Medical College & Hospital, Dibrugarh

DOOMDOOMA: Amar Bora, son of Bhabakanta Bora, former Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Doomdooma Forest Division, died of COVID-19 at Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMC&H), Dibrugarh on Tuesday evening. He was admitted there on Monday evening on being tested COVID positive. But his blood saturation level drastically fell on the following day, leading to his death. He was 56 and is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Bora was a leading businessman and had a shopping mall in the town. He was closely associated with Doomdooma Namghar Samity and other social organizations. His death has been widely mourned by Doomdooma Sakha Xahitya Xabha, Doomdooma Namghar Samity, Doomdooma Press Club, Doomdooma Rotary Club and Lions Club of Doomdooma Tea City, among others.
