One Held In Guwahati For Giving Death Threat To A Lady

According to police the victim lady filed an FIR with the Geetanagar police station in Guwahati.

According to the FIR, a person who was identified as Himdri Baruah has allegedly threatened her with a sharp weapon in front of Guwahati Central Mall, Zoo Road, if she doesn't marry him.

Immediately after the FIR, officer-in charge of Geetanagar police station along with his team rushed to the spot and arrested the accused.

Police also recover a dao from his possession.

Earlier, in a bizarre incident, a man allegedly raped and impregnated his 14-year-old adopted daughter at Sapekhati, Charaideo. The incident has come to light on October 1 when the girl underwent a medical test following which her mother filed a complaint with the police against her husband. The accused identified as Chimon Dhani who is now on the run. The victim alleged that her father raped her 3 times and as a result, she has conceived.

"He did it with me three times. I am now 7 months pregnant", she added. Her mother said, "I did know about it. My daughter also did not tell me. Only after the medical reports, I have come to know about it." The police, on the otherhand, launched and continue inquiry into the matter. On the other hand, a Muslim religious preacher repeatedly rapped a 10-year-old girl in Teok, Jorhat until he was arrested by the police based on a complaint filed by the victim's parents.
