MANGALDAI: A grazier has gone missing after a boat capsized in the River Brahmaputra, while two others managed to survive. This tragic incident was reported at Lenga Kuruwa under Sipajhar Police Station at about 7.30 pm on June 25. The missing grazier has been identified as Toufik Ali (42) of village Bahgorha near Dumunichowki under Sipajhar Police Station.

According to information, Toufik Ali along with two other graziers, namely Kalyan Deka of village Kuwarigaon and Koila Ali of village Suktaguri, were returning on a country boat after shifting their domestic buffaloes in a safer place. But all of a sudden, the country boat got stuck in a whirlpool in the River Brahmaputra near the RCC Bridge at Lenga- Kuruwa embankment and the boat instantly capsized.
