One more held for Dhalpur violence by Darrang Police

MANGALDAI: Darrang Police has arrested one more accused person in connection with attacking the police during the eviction drive at Dhalpur No.3 on September 23. He has been identified as Sarifuddin (40) son of late Hasen Ali of Dhalpur No. 1 under Sipajhar Police Station. Earlier two persons namely Chand Mamood President of Sanowa Gaon Panchayat and Asmat Ali Ahmed former President of Bazna Pothar Gaon Panchayat under Sipajhar Police Station on the allegation of instigating and provoking the mob to attack the police on duty. All the three have been booked in connection with Sipajhar Police Station Case Number 758/2021.
