One NSCN-R cadre apprehended in upper Assam

JAGUN: One NSCN-R cadre was apprehended in an operation launched by 14 Rajput Indian Army in Jagun Reserve Forest located under Margherita subdivision in upper Assam on Friday.

The cadre has been identified as Lakhikanta Kumbang (29) of Jagun Kangkan village in Tinsukia district. The cadre had joined the NSCN (R) in 2020 and was in process of reviving a new group LDCML (Liberal Democratic Council of Mising Land).

One German-made 7.65 pistol, three bullets, one mobile handset with three different SIM cards and some important documents were recovered from his possession.
