SARUPATHAR: The Prantosh Das Foundation of Dhansiri subdivision in Golaghat district organized an online speech contest on the topic 'How effective is the online education system in Assam' among school and college students from Class IX to degree level. The students from different schools and colleges of Golaghat district participated in this event online.

Dr. Hemanta Deka, associate professor, Assamese department of BS College in Howli, Parag Dahal, associate professor, Science department of Kaliabor College, and Durgeshwar Saikia, lecturer in (DIET) District Institute of Education and Training in Tinsukia, were the judge for the event.

Sukainna Batsa, Class X student of Sacred Heart High School in Golaghat secured the first position, Himadri Gogoi, HS 1st year student of Amrit International School in Barpathar secured the second position, Bhitali Saikia, HS 1st year student of Sarupathar Higher Secondary School in Sarupathar and Sneha Bora, Class X student of Marvel Mind's Academy from Sarupathar secured the third position in the speech contest.
