Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve reopens for tourists

Orang: The Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve reopened for both domestic and international tourists. Assam Minister for Environment and Forest, Parimal Suklabaidya reopened the park for tourists on Friday. He has requested the visitors to wear masks and maintain social distance while visiting the park.

Famous for one-horned rhino, elephant, tiger, leopard, deer and many other animals, Orang National Park was closed for almost eight months due to the ongoing pandemic.

Suklabidya tweeted about his visit to Orang National Park. He wrote: "Visited Orang National Park & Tiger Reserve today to kick-start it's opening for tourists from today. Also inaugurated the newly developed tourist facilitation centre which will act as a good addition to the overall facilities within the park provided by the authority."

The minister inaugurated a tourist facilitation centre, which will add to the overall facilities provided in the park.

Manas National Park and Kaziranga National Park reopened for tourists on October 2 and 21, respectively. Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary will reopen on November 10.
