DHUBRI: Under the recently launched Assam Community Surveillance Plan (ACSP), para-teams are visiting door-to-door in the village and urban areas to detect corona positive patients, and providing medical aid at the door. To control the further spread of COVID-19, Assam Community Surveillance Plan (ACSP) was launched in the village and urban areas led by ASHA para-medical team in all the six health blocks

COVID Positive Detection Operation in Dhubri

Dhubri District Community Mobilizer, National Health Mission, Arif Ahmed said that the medical team visiting door-to-door in the villages and urban areas enlist and collect information about any ailing person in the family - asymptomatic and as well as symptomatic.

"This information is shared with the block-level team headed by doctor and if necessary, a team led by doctors visit and provide medical facilities, collect samples of swab for testing," Ahmed said. He also added that ACSP was launched on June 2 and in four days, teams visited 602 villages and wards covering 5,66,123 till Monday. Till Sunday, 5,792 samples were collected and 253 were found corona positive.

Till Sunday, 56 new COVID-19 cases were detected while positive cases in the district stood at 4,470 with death toll 49. In the meantime, 2,915 patients were discharged after being totally cured, Ahmed added.
