Paddy fields, roads and houses of local villagers have reportedly been submerged in Mayoung due to the late floods. This has caused the people of the village to travel in boats in the affected areas for their basic needs.

The floods caused in Gohpur by the breaking of a dyke in Brahmajan has also affected the lives of the locals that reside in the village. This has resulted in the submergence of houses in Bhulaguri Tea Garden and nearby villages.
