JORHAT: Pathik Assam, an NGO, had organized awareness on Project Shreemoyee in five different villages around the upper Deuri area of Jorhat district recently. Project Shreemoyee of Pathik is based on women's health and hygiene and sustainability where awareness on women's menstrual hygiene is created along with the distribution of low cost sanitary pads.

Pathik, with the support of the CSR initiative of ONGC, Jorhat, had installed a sanitary pad production machine at Malouali, Jorhat recently. "Project Shreemoyee is by the women and for the women. Rural women are being trained for production, packaging and distribution of sanitary pads by NGO Pathik targeting sustainable development along with health and hygiene," said Chief Operating Director Victor Rajkumar. Awareness and project expansion was done at Upper Deuri Gaon, Kareng Chapori Mising Gaon, Kalbari Budhbaria gaon, Charighariya Mising Gaon and Kalbari Sasurguri Gaon.
