People's Aid celebrates third foundation day in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: People's Aid, an NGO based at Kokrajhar and working for helping needy people, celebrated the third foundation day on Saturday at its new office complex at Habrubari in Kokrajhar.

As part of the programme, the president of the People's Aid, Nava Basumatary hoisted the flag of the NGO while advisor Maneswar Daimary inaugurated the new office complex at Habrubari. Well-known Bodo actor Fuji Basumatary launched the website: www.thepeoplesaid.org on the occasion. The NGO, which was founded way back in 2017, has been working for the welfare of helpless people. The activists of the NGO give all help to helpless people to acquire government privileges in medical sector for getting treatment. National archer Gohela Boro of Kokrajhar is a glaring example. Under the initiative of People's Aid, she got a new lease of life after recovering from a terrible ailment.
