Phillobari Police arrested three Aadhar card swindlers at Rongpur

DOOMDOOMA: Phillobari Police arrested three Aadhar card swindlers at Rongpur village on Saturday night for cheating people by supplying fake Aadhar cards.

As per information, two youths from Digboi named Dipak Chetri and Kamal Khatiura assembled in the house of Bikash Chetri at Rongpur village on that night for the purpose of bumper business that they had carried out by supplying fake Aadhar cards among the villagers at Rs 500 for each such card.

On receiving tip-off, the police arrived there on Saturday night around 11.30 pm and caught them red-handed. Police seized one printer, one machine used for fake Aadhar card printing, many documents, besides some cash from their possession. The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of a top-ranking police officer. While further investigation is on, in the meanwhile, the arrested persons have been sent to jail custody.
