‘Philosophy of yoga enriched withideologies of man-making education'-Dr. Mukunda Rajbonshi in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: “The philosophy of yoga is enriched with the ideologies of man-making education. It has the power to upgrade the deteriorated human values of those too who lead themselves astray,” stated academician Dr. Mukunda Rajbonshi in North Lakhimpur on Sunday. The former Principal of Lakhimpur Girls’ College, who is also an eminent yoga practitioner, said this while inaugurating Bhaskar Yoga Centre at VIP Road (Nakari) of North Lakhimpur town.

On Sunday, the yog centre was inaugurated at a programme which began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by former Deori Xahitya Xabha president Shashidhar Deori. It was chaired by renowned yoga expert and former Principal of Itanagar Government College, Bali Narayan Phukan who delivered an informative lecture on the present development of yoga as an academic course.

Eminent yoga practitioners of the districts like Azad Hazarika, Jitu Dutta and Ranjit Kakati graced the occasion as guests of honour. Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Viswavidyalaya PG Diploma holder Deepamoni Burhagohain and MA in Yogic Science and Naturopathy, Bhaskar Gogoi will conduct yoga practice in the centre.
