TINSUKIA: Pijush Hazarika, the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, expressed strong displeasure on the purported news circulated by a section of e-media that rocked the State.

The minister during a surprise visit to LGB Civil Hospital, Tinsukia on Sunday where an allegation was levelled against the hospital authority for keeping a dead person along with a patient in the ‘morgue’ adjacent to medicine ward, told the e-media persons who had gathered there that the incident reported by them was an embarrassment for the government and health department in particular. Detailing the truth of the entire episode, the minister called upon the journalists to restrain themselves from airing false and untruth stories. Some media persons, while admitting their fault, were heard expressing regret before the minister. Hazarika, deeply perturbed, even went to the extent of explaining terminologies like morgue, mortuary and isolation ward and asked media persons to learn more in detail. The minister, however, was critical about the hospital campus cleanliness and asked the management to maintain complete hygiene.
