UDALGURI: Krishna Kanta Mizar, the renowned playback singer and social worker was felicitated by Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha for his tremendous contribution to the society. Durga Khatiwada, the president and Rudra Baral, the general secretary of Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha felicitated him with a gamosa, citation and a replica of ANSS.

The Asom Prakashan Parishad also honoured Krishna Mizar on the occasion. Renowned playback singer Krishna Kanta Mizar was born in 1966. He was associated with All Assam Nepali Students’ Union, Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha, Asom Nepali Sanskriti Surakshya Parishad, Asom Madhyamik Sikshak aru Karmachari Santha etc.

He had published albums in Nepali - Mayako Lahar, Dhuk Dhuki Ka Harafharu, Jun Chhune Rahar, Pareli and Juneli. The Assamese song albums were Tomar Sawanite, Sayanika and Hiya. He had also hindi song albums Dil Ke Arman and Love in Mumbai.
