TINSUKIA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually dedicated to the nation two projects commissioned by the Oil India Limited (OIL) from Silapathar in Dhemaji district on Monday. These two projects are the 'Gas Compressor Station' (GCS) at Hebeda village in Makum of Tinsukia district and the 'Secondary Tank Farm' at Madhuban near Duliajan in Dibrigarh district. These two projects, along with other projects across the State, aim to provide a boost to Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The OIL organized the launching ceremony centrally at GCS, Makum where officials from OIL, Tinsukia district administration were present to witness the historic events.[Also Read: Assam Breaking News]

The GCS at Hebeda Village Makum is envisaged to facilitate supply of high pressure lifter gas that will assist gas lifting of 10-15 number of wells with an expected additional production gain of about 10-15 MT per day of crude oil per well. The project likely to create 264 employments during construction phase (232) and operation phase (32). The Secondary Tank Farm at Madhuban is built for storage of crude oil replacing existing Central Tank Farm at Duliajan will also facilitate dehydration and effluent treatment.
