PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate cancer hospital in Assam Medical College and Hospital

DIBRUGARH: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday visited Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) to take stock of the cancer hospital built in AMCH campus.

Speaking to media persons, Sarma confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Cancer hospital at Dibrugarh on April 28, 2022. "As per the preliminary report Prime Minister will inaugurate the cancer hospital at AMCH with his physical presence while six other cancer hospitals in Assam will be inaugurated by PM virtually on the same day. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for another eight cancer hospitals in Assam from Dibrugarh," Sarma said

He further added, "Prime Minister will also address the public from either Khanikar ground or Police Reserve, the venue of which still to be finalized."
