Poet and artist Rajen Khound passes away at Assam Medical College & Hospital

DOOMDOOMA: Leading artist and poet Rajen Khound passed away at Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMC&H) while under treatment on Monday. He suffered a heart attack about a fortnight back and was in ICU since then. He was 69 and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Khound was a well-known artist and was also a poet. He has three poetry books to his credit. He was also president of Barhapjan Sakha Xahitya Xabha (BSXX) for many years. His death cast a pall of gloom in the area and was widely mourned by many organizations, including Doomdooma Sakha Xahitya Xabha, Tinsukia Zila Xahitya Xabha, Barhapjan Sakha Xahitya Xabha.
