Poet Nilimoni Phookan felicitated by Oil India Limited (OIL) with a seleng chador, a pator gamusa

DIBRUGARH: Jnanpith Award winner and renowned poet Nilimoni Phookan and his wife Dulumoni Phookan were felicitated by Oil India Limited (OIL) with a seleng chador, a pator gamusa, an Eri shawl and an amount of Rs 1 lakh along with a citation at the poet's residence in Guwahati on Thursday.

The Resident Chief Executive, OIL, Prasanta Borkakoty and Spokesperson & DGM (CSR&CC), OIL, Tridiv Hazarika while felicitating the revered literary figures of Assam, also sought their blessing. Phookan's eldest son, Dr Jyotirmoy Phookan and senior journalist Ankur Deka were also present during the felicitation programme.
