Police constable of Dhubri town caught on camera stealing onions from a truck

DHUBRI: A police constable of Dhubri town was caught on CCTV camera allegedly stealing onions from a truck parked in front of a godown in Ward No-5 on old Thakurbari Road of Dhubri town.

Proprietor of M/s Assam Onion Traders unwilling to be quoted informed that a truck, laden with onions from Nasik had arrived in Dhubri in the evening on Thursday. Due to paucity of space, the truck was parked outside the godown at night, but the police officer from the Dhubri police station was caught on CCTV camera loosening the rope and tarpaulin of the truck bearing no MH-17HH-4183. He then got inside the truck and after few minutes alighted from the truck with a bag full of onions.

Meanwhile, there was trolling on social media after the incident but Dhubri Police remained tight lipped.
