Police officer Hemkanta Chutia deployed at Golaghat police station passes away

GOLAGHAT: Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) Hemkanta Chutia deployed at Golaghat police station passed away on Wednesday. According to sources, Hemkanta Chutia died on duty when he was sent for post-mortem related duty to Jorhat. On the way to Golaghat PS, he suddenly suffered from a heart problem. He was admitted at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital and later he was referred to AMCH. He breathed his last at AMCH. Busy duty schedule and mental stress are suspected to be the cause of his death.
