BAKSA: After being decorated the seat of Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly, prominent political leader Biswajit Daimary reached the Bathou Thansali on Saturday morning situated at Bogamati Picnic spot with his wife to offer his prayers to Bathou Bwrai.
After the prayer, sharing his feelings, Daimary said, "I have achieved a lot of success in my political career. I have been blessed enough to be Rajya Sabha MP thrice. Now I have become the speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly too. So for, I have arrived here to thank God and to seek blessings from our guru of Bathou religion so he could provide me with a greater vision to perform my responsibilities in the future."
It is worth mentioning that, Daimary had built the first public worship place Bathou Thansali and established the statue of Mwnsing Sing Bwrai, which is the first statue in the world of this Guru with his own money in Bogamati Picnic spot in Baksa district along the Indo-Bhutan Border and opened it for the public on January 19, 2020.
"This prayer place has been opened not only for the people of Bathou religion, but people of all community can come here to pray seeking peace of mind and success," said Daimary.
He underlined that it is the world's first statue of Bathou religion's Gurun Mwnshng Sing Bwrai made of RCC. It will be replaced by a Bronze statue for its longevity, he said. Mwnsing Sing Bwrai is a guru in Bathouism, an ethnic religion of the Bodo people.
"I feel that idolization of our gurus is important. Or else whom people would look up to? Something tangible is required to encourage people. Hence I came up with the idea of having a statue of him last year itself," said Daimary.
