Post-lockdown, play on COVID-19 pandemic staged in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: After a prolonged period of nine months, the first drama after the nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation was staged at the Golaghat Amateur Theatre Society auditorium recently.

The play titled BawliBotahor Koponi was written by PolashLoing and directed by Shiromoni Bhuyan. The theme of the play was COVID-19 pandemic and the issues related to it. Comedy, tragedy and satire were well conceptualized in the drama by the writer. All the actors gave a great performance. People had gathered in large numbers to watch this drama as they could not watch any drama or movie in theaters for a long time due to the pandemic. BawliBotahorKoponi witnessed a houseful audience at Golaghat Amateur Theatre Society auditorium.
