Pradhan Acharya Sanmilan Organised at Hajongbori on March 24 & 25

GUWAHATI: The Assam government’s education adviser Prof Dr Noni Gopal Mahanta was present as the chief guest at the inauguration function of the Pradhan Acharya Sanmilan organised at Hajongbori on Friday. Other dignitaries present on the dais included Vidya Bharati Education Society minister Shri Brahma Raoji, Children’s Education Trust president Dr Dibyajyoti Mahanta, Vidya Bharati Higher Education minister Shri K N Raghunandan and Northeast Region’s Organisational President Dr Praban Tiwari.

At the meeting, Axom Prakashan Bharati ‘Sahitya Award’ (Sudama) was presented to Dr Deben Chandra Das by the distinguished hands of Dr Noni Gopal Mahanta on behalf of Axom Prakashan Bharati.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr Noni Gopal Mahanta heaped praises on Vidya Bharati for its efforts in educating children, describing Devi Saraswati’s benevolence towards the education of children. He also extolled the work of the Pradhan Acharyas in ensuring all-round development of the children in the tradition of Indian culture. Dr Mahanta also encouraged the distinguished gathering to be alert while spreading awareness about the National Education Policy.

The inauguration ceremony came to an end with a prayer for peace.
