LAKHIMPUR: Panchayat and Rural Development Minister-cum- Dhakuakhana MLA Naba Kumar Doley took part in a video conferencing programme with 250 party activists of Dhakuakhana district BJP unit on Sunday. The programme was convened by State BJP president Ranjit Dass on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal's Aatmanirbhar Asom.
Addressing the party activists in the programme, the P&RD Minister said that each and every BJP member should pay much importance to Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Asom missions.
"Aatmanirbhar Bharat is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a self-reliant nation. As part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat package, numerous government decisions have taken place such as changing the definition of Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME), boosting scope for private participation in numerous sectors and so on. The five pillars of Aatmanirbhar Bharat focus on economy, infrastructure, system, vibrant demography and demand. We should ensure the expedition of rural development by using our resources to get rid of foreign loans," said the minister.
He added that in the meantime, 80 crore poor people were given benefit of 5 kg wheat or rice per person for the months of April, May and July while 1 kg pulses was given to each household for free for these three months under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. Moreover, Rs 3 lakh crore collateral-free automatic loans for businesses and MSMEs had been granted with more packages.
In this connection, he appealed to the people of Dhakuakhana to step forward to be self-reliant by using the abundant resources of the subdivision and by availing the benefits of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Asom packages. Taking part in the programme, Dhakuakhana district unit BJP president Pradip Chamua appreciated the move of the minister and called upon the people of Dhakuakhana to come forward to ensure the expected development of the constituency through the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Asom missions.
