TINSUKIA: A five-day long free pre-recruitment police training camp got underway at Muttuck Tea Estate playground, under the auspices of Assam Tea Tribes Students Association (ATTSA), Lahoal branch and in collaboration with the district police administration, Dibrugarh and the Assam Branch Indian Tea Association (ABITA) Zone 1, on Wednesday.
With Lahoal Police Station personnel providing technical support in the camp under the leadership of Anupam Guwala, I/C Lahoal Police Station, more than 200 youth from the tea estates and neighbouring villages have participated in the camp. The purpose of the camp is to provide the young people, both boys and girls, physical training if they aspired to join the police force later, besides to train the aspirants for police recruitment test to be held on September 25.
During the training, the participants will be given physical training and basic knowledge of discipline to be maintained during the recruitment process. The aspirants will practice, especially 3200, 1600 and 100 metre races and long jump and high jump during the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Pranjyoti Das, Circle Inspector, Chubwa, in presence of Madhurjya Barooah, Secretary, ABITA, Zone 1, and other dignitaries.
