Preparations For 40th Biennial Conference At Udalguri

UDALGURI: Brisk preparation is on to hold the 40th biennial conference of Udalguri district committee of All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU) at Udalguri with a two-day long programme on February 1 and February 2. The reception committee is headed by Bishnu Sarma Neupane and Pawan Sarma Luitel. The programme will begin with the hoisting of flag by Purna Kirat Rai, the president of Udalguri district committee, AAGSU, followed by tribute to martyrs by Sanchman Subba, the general secretary of Udalguri district committee, AAGSU. A peace message will be given by Longnit Terang, Udalguri SP, and Rahul Rao, Colonel of Garhwal regiment.

The representatives’ camp will be inaugurated by Dilliram Sarmah, the former organizing secretary of AANSU, and the career counselling programme will be inaugurated by Bhaben Deuri, the Inspector of Schools, Udalguri. The literary programme will be conducted by Lakshman Adhikari and the programme will be inaugurated by Tarapati Upadhyaya, prominent writer and academician. Rohit Dahal, the general secretary of BTC region AAGSU, will inaugurate the representatives’ meet while Krishna Kanta Mizar, prominent artiste, will inaugurate the cultural night.
