Preparations on for Teachers' Day at Kamalakanta Kshetra, Biswanath

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Brisk preparations are going on at Biswanath Chariali to celebrate Teachers' Day at Kamalakanta Kshetra, here, along with the rest of the country.

A strong celebration committee was formed recently at a meeting held at Chariali Adarsha Vidyapeeth in this respect with Pranab Kumar Sarmah, Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath, as president, Dr Surya Kamal Borah, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education), as working president, Tarun Chandra Borah, Inspector of Schools, Sonitpur and Biswanath districts as Member Secretary and Karunakanta Bhatta, Deputy Inspector (DI) as Joint Secretary.

A souvenir to be edited by Chandra Luitel will also be published on the occasion. The other programmes of the day include felicitation of teachers from across the district and open session. Biswanath district is going to celebrate the day separately this time after its bifurcation from Sonitpur district.
