MANGALDAI: President of India, Droupadi Murmu has been invited to the ‘World Sanskrit Sanmelan’ to be organized in Assam in December.

The Lok Bhasha Prasar Samiti, Bharat has taken up all arrangements to organize the Sanmelan for the first time in Assam. A high-level delegation of Lok Bhasha Prasar Samiti, Bharat headed by its national president, Dr Sadananda Dixit and national general secretary, Kushal Kalita of Assam met the President at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on September 18 and accorded the cordial invitation to the President.

Other members of the delegation were presidents of state branches. The World Sanskrit Sanmelan will be held in Assam for the first time with the participation of delegates from 16 countries and 26 states with the theme ‘Viswa Hitaya Sanskritam’.
