Probe ordered into death of newborn baby in AMCH

DIBRUGARH:Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner PallavGopalJha has directed a magisterial inquiry into the death of a newborn baby in a fire incident that took place in the NICU located in the three-storey building of Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) on November 8. DC Jha, by an order, has assigned Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dipu Kumar Deka to make a thorough inquiry into the incident and asked him to submit his report within a week. ADC Deka, the order said, will look into different angles, including what circumstances led to the fire incident, was the fire caused due to irresponsible act or negligence of any government official and also to suggest what steps should be taken to prevent such incidents in future.
