LAKHIMPUR: The District Level RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute) Advisory Committee (DLRAC) meeting was held in Lakhimpur on Wednesday. The event was conducted in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office under the management of Bijit Borah, the Director of RSETI of Punjab National Bank and convener of DLRAC. The meeting was chaired by Sumit Sattawan, the Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur.

The agenda of the meeting began with the review and approval of the minute of the last DLRAC meeting held on December 29. Then the RSETI authority apprised the RSETI Advisory Committee members about the tasks it performed in the previous days. The Director briefed the important points of the minutes of last DLRAC meeting and steps taken thereof.

Then the members of the committee discussed the problems faced by the RSETI trainees during the process to get loans from banks in order to generate their employment after the completion of their training. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Lead District Bank Manager to initiate effective steps to mitigate the problems in this regard.

In the same meeting, the RSETI Budget for the 2023-24 financial year was tabled and approval was granted to it. The Deputy Commissioner called upon all in the meeting to extend their cooperation for smooth conduct of the training for the unemployed youths in the upcoming year. In addition to DLRAC members, the meeting was attended by Paul Hongkung Ta, the Chief Manager of the Punjab National Bank, Dibrugarh Circle.
