Professor Dilip Kumar Baidya has appointed as New Silchar NIT director

SILCHAR: Professor Dilip Kumar Baidya has been appointed as the Director of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar. Baidya, presently the HoD of Civil Engineering Department of IIT, Kharagpur would take charge from the outgoing director Prof Rajat Gupta. Dilip Kumar Baidya completed his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from IISC Bangalore and joined IIT Kharagpur in 1994. He had won many awards including IE(I) best paper award in 2005 and IGS best paper award in 2011.
